I read everything. Replies usually take a few days, sometimes longer during a heavy batching week.
What I can help with
- A batch that behaved unexpectedly — include your full formulation, your temperatures, and a photo if you can
- Corrections. If something here is factually wrong, please say so
- Requests for recipes or guides that do not exist yet
What I cannot help with
- Anything urgent involving injury. If lye has contacted skin or eyes, stop reading and get medical help. Do not wait for an email reply.
- Confirming that a recipe you found elsewhere is safe. I cannot verify formulations I did not write — run them through a lye calculator yourself.
- Whether a bar is safe to sell in your country. Cosmetic regulations vary enormously and I am not qualified to advise on yours.
